March always feels like a turning point around here.
The days stretch a little longer. The wind shifts just enough to hint that warmer weather is on the way. Birds fill the trees with morning chatter, the scent of fresh-cut grass drifts through the air, and the low hum of carts feels closer by the day. If you’ve been missing the sharp crack of a solid drive off the first tee, you’re not alone.
At Chimney Rock Golf Course, preparations are underway. The mowers are being tuned, the greens are coming back to life, and plans are taking shape for leagues, tournaments, and another full season of golf beneath the shadow of Chimney Rock.
There’s something special about this time of year. It’s not just the course coming back to life. It’s the return of neighbors, familiar faces, and friendly competition. League nights are around the corner, tournament dates are filling in, and soon the clubhouse will be buzzing again as carts roll toward the first tee.

Before long, those morning birds will be greeting early tee times, the scent of fresh-cut grass will be part of every round, and that unmistakable crack off the first tee will echo across the fairway again.
